Good Designs are Minimalistic
Seriously, are you kidding me, I already knew that, if you are having any thoughts like that then you are free to leave this blog. Cause we are not talking about designing from the perspective of a consumer.
We are telling you things about a good design that nobody tells you. Companies like Apple, Nike, Louis Vuitton, Uber & many more use minimalistic design in their logos & other branding features.
There’s something about the minimalist design that is just so captivating. Minimal logos make for modern and chic branding that elevate your brand identity.
While it’s easy to get caught up in overdesigning a concept, the best designers are famed for their ability to take things back to basics.
By focusing on only the very essentials, you can create a stunning minimalist design that is both eye-catching and timeless.

Good Designs Makes a Product Understandable
Good design makes a product understandable. & Understandable we mean that it clarifies the product’s structure. Better still, it can make the product talk. At best, it is self-explanatory. The consumer immediately understands the purpose of the product. That should be the level of understanding a design must-have. Let’s say a guy is illiterate & he is standing in front of washrooms in a mall. One is for males & the other is for females with the respective signs on them. Then he doesn’t wait to try to read them he simply watches the sign to understand the right one for him. That is a basic understanding that every product of design must-have.

Good design makes the product usable
When a product is bought to be used it has to satisfy certain criteria, not just functional but also psychological & aesthetic also. Good design emphasizes the usefulness of a product while disregarding anything that could possibly detract from it. Products are made to be used and so are digital products, the good design emphasizes in the fact that products solve a problem in a useful way, although sometimes the fact that there are more variables involved in the development of a product (marketing, engineering, corporate) make the equation more complicated.

Good Design is based on research, & takes into consideration every single product detail
Nothing must be arbitrary or left to chance. Care and accuracy in the design process show respect towards the user. This is where good designers are separated from excellent designers.
Every input, every image, and block of text, every workflow should be thoroughly thought out to aid the user in their endeavors. Design is not made by simply reading about or knowing what the product is. These are the works of amateurs.
Great designer research about everything & takes into consideration every small product detail so that the design will be amazing in every way.

Good Designs are socially Beneficial
Social design is design, that is mindful of the designer’s role and responsibility in society, and of the use of the design process to bring about social change. Socially responsible design is an attitude that emphasizes the needs and experiences of people over concerns of form or aesthetics. The socially responsible design may grow out of a radical (Marxist, feminist, queer) perspective that critiques conventional practice and current socio-spatial conditions—as well as the underlying systems of commodification, subjectification, and exploitation—and seeks alternatives that are more just, accessible, and equitable.

Good Design is not governed by Fashion or trends
A good design is rarely fashionable or follows trends unless its what the consumer wishes for. It avoids being fashionable and therefore never appears antiquated. Unlike fashionable design, it lasts many years – even in today’s throwaway society.
Designing for the sake of fashion is a dangerous and generally unhelpful thing. What is fashionable today will at best be unfashionable tomorrow, and at worst, a piece of comedy in ten years. Apple Inc. logo is a great example of being a design not governed by fashion or trends.
